Regular Membership
We accept regular membership applications on an ongoing basis. While applications from already trained personnel are ideal, we also accept applications from those with NO EXPERIENCE. ALL training is paid for by the department. We also offer the opportunity to travel to fire schools throughout the state. Although we are 100% volunteer-based, there are many benefits to being a volunteer firefighter, with the most important one being the opportunity to make a difference in your community. Junior Firefighter
A Junior Firefighter, aged 16 to 17, gains hands-on experience, training, and mentorship in firefighting under the guidance of experienced members. Within the limits of West Virginia law, they participate in training, station duties, and community events, developing teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills while preparing to become certified firefighters and future lifesavers.
Social Membership
Our Social Membership consists of ladies and gentlemen who would like to make a difference but don't necessarily want to be firefighters. Duties and opportunities include attending and assisting at fundraisers, participating in company meetings and drills, and helping with food preparation during extended calls, with the possibility of delivering it to the scene. Applicants must be 16 years of age minimum, with parent or guardian approval if under 18 years of age. You may print the application below and submit it to any member.
